WSU students write and read Spanish books for local elementary students

Students in Winona State University's Intermediate Spanish courses made children's books in Spanish as a part of their final semester projects. Those Spanish students are donating the books to Madison Elementary in Winona and to the Arcadia Elementary School in Wisconsin.

 

 

"They try to consider the message that they were sending as well, so even if it was a fictional story usually you'll find there's a lesson there that they can learn. It just makes the learning of the language, and the use of the language, more meaningful for them because they're actually transmitting it to people who are learning from them,” said WSU Spanish Professor Vanessa Fernandez Greene.
